In October 2025, the Plasma Protein Therapeutic Association (PPTA) held their Plasma Protein Forum. Our North America Chair, Steven Spitalnik was one of the session speakers.

The session “Driving Awareness & Action for Anti-D” provided a thought-provoking discussion between experts, patients, and donors on the global challenges and opportunities shaping its future.

The discussion focused on the collection and use of anti-D plasma, a critical component in preventing hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN). The session featured medical experts, patients, and donors who shared insights on the challenges and opportunities surrounding anti-D plasma collection globally. The presentation provided an overview of current practices and offered suggestions for how to navigate this evolving and complex landscape.

Don’t miss out on an interview with Dr. Spitalnik on the importance of anti-D and the impact of the global challenges.
