AABB to host eCast on neonatal Fc receptor blocking in HDFN
An upcoming AABB eCast will examine the emerging role of neonatal Fc receptor inhibition in hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn. Faculty will review the biology of FcRn, its role in IgG transport across the placenta and the current clinical landscape of FcRn-targeted therapies for HDFN and other antibody-mediated hematologic disorders. The program will also discuss how FcRn blocking may help reduce the severity of HDFN caused by maternal alloantibodies, including antibodies against the Kell blood group system. The program will take place 2-3 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 21. Single-viewer and group registration rates are available.
